In his book, Crazy Love, Franics Chan provides a deep and honest look into the condition of Christianity in the USA.

Crazy Love is Chan’s attempt to show Christians what it truly means to be in love with God. If you have ever been in love with someone before, you know that love has a way of changing your life.

Love will make one do some drastic things, including changing the way one lives their life..

With that being said, why is it easy for one to do that for another person, but not God? After all, God gives us the greatest act of love that we can imaginable, and all He asks is for our love in return.

If you only read one book this summer, Crazy Love by Francis Chan needs to be your pick. If you are worried that Crazy Love is another “bash the Church” book, there is no need to fear. Yes, Chan does point out the flaws in modern churches today, but he presents his argument in a loving and Godly way.

Throughout the book, Chan drives home his point that there cannot be a thing as a lukewarm Christian. In fact, Chan believes that this phrase is an oxymoron because a Christian cannot be lukewarm.

Jesus wants us to be totally committed to Him, thus negating the idea of a lukewarm Christian.

Francis also points out that to be a true follower of Christ, we must not let other things come between our relationship with God.

Make no mistake, Chan isn’t sugarcoating things, nor is he condemning us for our past behavior. Instead, he is encouraging us to change the way we live our lives and focus on showing God the same attention that we would show that special someone in our lives.

Crazy Love by Francis Chan is a bestselling book that is taking the Christian world by storm. If you want to be crazy in love with God, yo need to stop and think, worship, and then be God’s hands and give and love. Get this book today and learn how what being in love is truly about.

Known throughout the world for his thought-provoking insight and reassuring advice, Max Lucado provides readers with another life changing resource with his new book Fear Not.

Even though this book is pretty short it has so many inspirational quotes from both the Bible and Lucado’s previous works that will help readers overcome the fears in everyday life.

The Fear Not Promise Book is a complement to his previous book Fearless. This little book is packed with materials to encourage readers to overcome any fear or obstacle that may pop up in their lives.

The book is divided up into six different sections: God is with you, God provides and guides, God is never surprised, God is in control, God cares about you, and God loves and forgives.

Each section focuses on common areas of life and provides Lucado’s personal insight on how to overcome these fears. On each page, there are several verses of Scripture that support Lucado’s advice and show readers that God not only understands our fears, but is always able to overcome them.

One of the most striking passages in Fear Not can be found on page 16. It’s a great promise reminder from Lucado that ” You will never go where God is not “. You may be transferred, enlisted, commissioned, reassigned or hospitalized, but – brand this truth on your heart- you can never go where God is not.”

This simple yet profound idea offered me a great deal of personal comfort and satisfaction as it is often easy to forget that God is always with us. With everything that is seemingly going wrong in today’s world, it is easy for one to worry about their future.

But Lacado’s book shows us that in the greatest times of trouble, God does his very best work.

Fear Not by Max Lucado encourages readers to trust in God’s promise to take care of us and help us overcome whatever life throws our way. Its small size allows for one to carry it wherever they go and its simple layout lets readers pick it up and receive God’s comfort at any time.

This book is a must have for anyone seeking comfort in today’s harsh world.

WOW! Author Gary Chapman has served as a marriage counselor for thirty years.

He wrote this book concerning the five love languages that he identified: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch.

In today’s society, we seem to have forgotten the words “for as long as you both shall live.I firmly believe that marriage is a commitment that in most cases should be valued and kept.

This book helps to identify the wants and needs of your partner.

Everybody is unique in his or her on way, with specific wants and needs. Chapman helps to clarify the differences between these identities by illustrating each love language with some real-life examples that he has gathered throughout his career as a marriage counselor.

This book is great read as it makes you realize so much about your partner, family, friends and even yourself. You can do this simply by recognizing and learning about the love language(s) that you and your loved ones most identify with.

Chapman makes this an easy read with his friendly and comedic writing.

Gary has created a life-changing and marriage saving book. Relationships are two-way streets, it is not just what you can get out from them, but what you can provide as well. You find someone you love and then you put forth that effort to keep that relationship thriving. This book is the best tool.

Whether you have been married for a long time or are newlyweds, this book is great for cementing your relationship. It is a great gift for couples who are soon to be married.

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman is one of the most rewarding and captivating books I have ever read. In focusing on the specific needs of others, you will start to build the deepest relationships possible

This is a special one. It’s all about Lotta’s take on Scandinavian style: functional, easy, organized, and not overly ornate. Words I’d like to have describe my house, too. To help us get there, Lotta opens the doors to her home and studio and shows us how it’s done in this photo-driven decorating + lifestyle + craft + entertaining book. I particularly like the project ideas–simple flower arrangements, cut felt decorations, hand stenciled pillows and tea towels, clipboard art galleries–all small touches that make a big impact.

As a bonus to this sneak peek, here are two simple and satisfying projects from the book. The first mobile is perfect to celebrate the end of summer; make the second one when you’re ready to transition into fall. They’re both easy, yet they add such a special accent to the home.

Enjoy!

A Paper Mobile
Here’s an idea for a cheery mobile: cut leftover paper scraps into almond-shaped pieces, then string them together with a sewing machine.

A Felt Mobile
Felt is such a great material to work with and is easy to use to make accents for the home. I made this wonderful mobile, inspired by a design I saw in a Japanese magazine, from a big piece of industrial felt (industrial felt is thicker and sturdier than regular felt, so it worked well for this project). I also found some felt furniture pads in a hardware store that made excellent berries to add to the mobile. Furniture pads come in all kinds of sizes and a few different colors, and they have an adhesive on one side, so they can easily be stuck to a felt mobile (or anything else).
